Jonathan Buske is a native Finger Lakes New Yorker with 10 years of experience in merchanside and garment design, music format packaging, pre-print production and typography.
His interest in design began in the 1980's with the admiration of skateboard graphics and the DIY art approach spawned in the underground music culture where he developed and honed the ethos he lives and designs by to date. Much of his youth and adult life has been spent touring, playing and writing music with his bands — formerly Another Victim, Santa Sangre, Rag Men, Terror, and The Promise and also currently Maximum Penalty, and Manipulate.
In 2008, he began his professional design career at Bravado International in New York City as an in-house designer where he designed merchandise for many multi-million selling artists including The Beatles, Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, and The Doors as well as numerous inspirational bands of his youth — namely Slayer, Black Sabbath, Metallica, Pantera, The Misfits, NWA, and Wu-Tang Clan.
A leap of faith in 2012 led to the freelance development of Buske Design and in 2014 the opportunity to design in-house for the Sam Ash Music marketing department in Long Island was taken until the Fall of 2016 when Buske Design became the current and full-time priority.
